Last week was my first time assisting Diane with a wedding cake! I helped frost (which I still need improvement on), rolled out all the fondant, and helped set up at the reception site. I'm so proud that she considers me skilled enough to help her! (And the ample space in my Cruiser means she didn't have to rent or borrow a van to take everything to the venue.)
As you can see, it was not the most traditional wedding cake set-up:

Each cake had its own set of toppers. The bride made these two figures. (The groom is a chef, hence his outfit.)

I was allowed to pipe a few swirls onto the cake. (Mine are the ones that are a tiny bit shaky-looking ...)

These snuggling spaniels are the most adorable topper I've ever seen!

Yes, that is a Bridezilla (with Groommonster, of course) on top of the cake! The bride herself was very non-zilla-ish, I'm happy to say. Diane said she was a delight to work with.
I had so much fun! I can't wait until the next time I help her ...
